Self help

Lets be clear, self help is anything that you do which helps you to improve your situation or feelings that you are having. Taking yourself to see a Mental Health Professional is self help, in the same way getting a book which helps enlightens you to the problem that you are experiencing, or going to a group which talk about the problem which you are experiencing. These are all self help. All of these things help ones self and are very worthwhile. There is no weakness in developing a support network when having difficulties, in fact its the smart thing to do.
